Catherine Finerty
Catherine Finnerty, whom you may have been lucky enough to catch playing in Mullingar in a band format, appears on the Songwriters Live 2005 CD in all her acoustified solo glory. Strong melody lines and stirring arrangements have impressed many audiences and her appearance on the night was well strongly anticipated.

Well, I wrote my first decent song when I was 21.
What Inspired you to write:
I don't know, I just kept on slogging away until something came out . . . it's hard work, ya know.
Thoughts on the local scene:
Well, the local music scene is really male dominated - but so is the industry. It's like they don't take [women] seriously, you know what I mean?
Long-term plans:
I'm hoping to get a band together, but it's hard to find the right people.
